Family Vacation!!!

To celebrate Brandon finally getting his MBA, we took a family vacation to San Diego back in Aug. It was so fun and a much needed break! My parents and Michelle came with us, (we wouldn't have been able to do it without them!) and we all enjoyed the fun attractions of San Diego. We went to the Zoo, Safari Park, Sea World, and the beach!! Loved it!!

I love making birthday cakes! Brandon even helped me with these. It was fun!

She was so dainty and didn't make too much of a mess. Brandon was brave enough to hold her while she ate.
Canon did the sweetest thing for Saydee's bday. Days before her party, he found a little gift bag and filled it up with some of his toys (even some of his favorite toys). He put it on the counter and said it was his gift for Saydee. I tried to explain to him that if he gives his toys away, they won't be his any more. He was insistent that he wanted to give them to her. This picture is Saydee pulling out one of Canon's trains. Even still, weeks later, he insists that the toys are Saydee's. What a sweet little boy!

For The Last 2 Months....

We have been busy! Brandon and I celebrated are 5th anniversary!! Brandon surprised me with a weekend away from the kids, just us, doing fun stuff! Best weekend ever! We stayed at the Anniversary Inn, saw our first IMAX movie (so awesome!), ate at Tucanos (my favorite restaurant), played a little golf (I'm just learning), and ate some more good food!

We've also spent lots of time with family, playing at parks, going on walks....

and, oh yeah, I had a bday in there too.

So far, summer has been full of fun!

Easter!!

Holidays are becoming so much more fun now that the kids are getting into them! Our Easter was a blast, and they all got spoiled of course.

Even Saydee got in on the Easter Egg action!
They did 2 Easter Egg hunts and got candy, money, candy, little toys, and candy!

We gave the kids this inflatable ball that is so big they climb inside it! They are like little hamsters running around the house in a ball. They LOVE it!

Saydee is 9 months! She has mastered the crawling and is now starting to walk with lots of help! Saydee has such a fun personality!! She is ALWAYS happy! Such a cute little angel.

Life is amazing for us right now. The kids are happy and healthy! Brandon actually likes his job- which helps everyone to be happy. We are extremely blessed! Brandon is finishing his second to last semester- only one more to go! (At least in this program... onto the next one in Aug.) Anyways, Canon is requesting my attention at the moment so I will post pictures next time I have a second!

Mylee Jo is honestly the most beautiful little girl! She is soo full of life and spirit! Man, has she got some spunk! Things I love about Mylee are:

When she sings and plays the piano.
How she gently slaps your face and says, "No!" when you sing the wrong words to her favorite songs.
Her bright solid blue eyes! Watch out boys!
When she says, "I love you!"
How she calls Canon "Canonball."
How she can't make it through a meal without getting food all over the table, floor, chair, her clothes, her hair, her face, and anything else within 5 feet of her. (Not sure I LOVE this but sometimes its funny!)
Her tight hugs!
How she bats her little eyes, smiles, and says 'pwease' to get what she wants- and it usually works.

I could go on and on! I love this little girl so much!!! We had a lot of fun celebrating her birthday!

I love this magical time of year. I love the glistening snow. I love listening to Christmas musicand reading Christmas books to my children. Brandon and I especially have so much to be grateful for. We have been extremely blessed this year, especially recently. My children are amazing. They are three big and wonderful blessings.

Saydee's Blessing Day

Last Sunday Saydee had her first special day!! My mom made the dress- isn't it beautiful? I love baby blessings. There is always such a special spirit, and both of our families were there. It was a beautiful day for a beautiful baby!

Look at our cute family! Notice any new additions-besides Saydee? That cute redhead is my nephew Aden, who apparently loves to have his picture taken. We could hardly get Canon to stay in the picture and Aden wouldn't move out of the picture. It was funny. Wish I could claim him as my own. :)

Doesn't my hubby look good? I have to brag about him a little bit. He has lost 40 lbs!! His dedication has been amazing!

Thoroughly Happy...

My adorable little energy balls! These pictures are from Aug, she is only a couple of weeks old. I can't believe how slow time goes when you're pregnant and then it zips on by after the baby comes!
I love her little dimple! See it? Right there on her right cheek!

I took these on Sunday. I love this dress! (It is the dress from the wedding.) I love taking pictures of babies on the grass... unfortunately they do not! She was a pretty good sport about it!

Mylee Jo just gets more beautiful every day! Her eyes are so blue!! That is one thing I wanted with my kids, blue eyes! (Or at least not brown.) Although at this point I wouldn't mind having at least one with my eyes, but we'll see...

Saydee May really is such an angel! She already sleeps through the night, she smiles all the time, and she just lights up when I talk and sing to her! She melts my heart! Canon and Mylee adore her as well. The other day Mylee was holding her hands and singing to her. Saydee had the biggest grin on her face! Yesterday Canon told Saydee, "I love you Saydee." Then he gave her a big kiss. It surprises me how much she responds to them! She loves it when they talk to her! Needless to say, our home has been even more joyful since Saydee has come! We are all thoroughly happy!

Canon and his cousin Aden are lucky little boys!! They both celebrated their third birthdays this month! We had a little party for them...
I made these yummy treats for the party. These cones are filled with ice cream and cupcake. They are topped with a delicious peanut butter frosting (thank you Laurie for the recipe) and peanut butter cups.

I made this cake for celebration number two with my side of the family. After looking through several photos of cakes, this is the one Canon wanted. It was sweet, he loved the motorcycle.

Canon has always had a very sweet and sensitive personality. He intuitively knows when others are sad and gives them hugs and kisses. He has the cutest and most contagious laugh! It is the best sound! I'm discovering he loves to dance! At Bryson and Sheila's wedding, he came and grabbed my hand, led me to the dance floor, and said, "Let's dance Mama!" So cute!! He is also a huge flirt!! And let's be honest, who could ever resist him? I love this little boy so much!

Here she is! My sweet angel. She was born Sunday afternoon, 7 lbs 1 oz, and 18 1/2 inches. Everything went perfectly.
The last few days have been pure joy for me. I love my little newborn!

These first pics are at my parent's new property up in Idaho. We spent an afternoon up there over memorial weekend. It will be a lot of fun to have family gatherings there!!

On Memorial Day, we went to the bird sanctuary in Layton. It wasn't very pretty, but the birds love to nest there. It was nice to just let the kids run on the boardwalk.

Now for the summer fun! Playing in sprinklers and, yes, mud!

May Adventures

May went by so fast! I can't believe June is almost here! Where was the nice spring weather bytheway? My kids have NOT enjoyed the rain and snow. Our anniversary was on the 11th. Its been four years! Wow. We both recently got new cowboy boots, so we dressed in somewhat western clothes and then went out for the evening. It was fun! Later in the month, our good friends from Arkansas came up, and we drove to Utah County to see them. We hiked Timpanogas Cave. It was somewhat rainy, but perfect weather for a hike like that. The cave was spectacular, but the hike was steep! We took both of our kids, and they don't allow strollers on the path. Mylee was carried the entire time. Canon was a trooper and walked a good part of it, but still had to be carried. With my 7 month pregnant belly, it was a fun challenge. There is no way we could have managed without Bryson and Sheila. Thanks! We took the hike super slow so it really wasn't so bad. Next time I think I'll do it while I'm not pregnant. :) I didn't take any pictures though. Too many other things to handle!! Sounds like our next two months are going to be eventful, so hopefully it goes by fast and then our sweet little baby will be here! I'm getting sooo excited to meet her!!

Easter... Finally!

First, we decorated easter eggs with the Thornock side of the family on Sat. Mylee thought she was supposed to eat them. Yuck!
Canon decided to squish his... again yuck! They both had a lot of fun though.

Easter egg hunt with the cousins! After Canon realized there was candy inside of the eggs, he lost interest in looking and started eating!
Then we spent Sunday with my family.

I love watching my kids grow up. I can't believe how much they are learning! Easter was a lot of fun. They both loved looking for the eggs. I am excited to do lots of fun things with them this summer before the baby comes!!

So, we sold our house! Looks like the third time really is the charm. We spent the last weekend moving out... been there done that before. I think this time is for real! We officially closed today!

And the best news for last! Baby number three is on the way! We are about to be officially outnumbered. Yikes! We are super excited! Our little girl is due July 27 (Go girls!). So far her name is Ellie May, but we aren't 100% sure yet. Life for us just keeps getting better! :)

What We've Been Up To...

First, I took a cupcake bouquet class with Michelle for Valentine's Day. It was fun, but I need a lot more practice to make this look really pretty!
Then we went shooting with Brandon's family. It was rainy but still lots of fun!
Over President's weekend we took a little vacation to South Salt Lake (Thank you Kelli!). We visited the new Draper Temple and had a little picnic in the back our our car.
Next we went to Discovery Gateway and let the kids run wild!! They had a blast.

Our Holiday Season

Not to be the Scrooge of the Christmas season, but this was the worst holiday season for us. Before I get to the negatives, I want to focus on the positives. We got to see every member of our families on both sides. It was great to see siblings. We really enjoyed the time we were able to spend with family, even though it wasn't that much. Despite the illnesses, we did enjoy the magic of Christmas, especially with our sweet children. Currently, both of our kids are well. I hope and pray they will not get sick any more.

It all started with the emergency room trip on Thanksgiving, Mylee being hospitalized a couple weeks later, Brandon and I getting the flu I think (even though we were all vaccinated) a couple days before Christmas, our kids then getting sick and being sick on Christmas, Brandon being bed ridden for his birthday, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day. Unfortunately, he is still sick with a hacking cough and head congestion. Brandon had all this time off of work, and we spent the whole time sick at home. Our New Year's Eve was short lived with Brandon going the bed around 8, and I went to bed around 10. Wow, we were so exciting. Let's hope the New Year brings better health for our family.

One last note about Mylee being in the hospital, scary. As a parent, it is so hard to watch your little baby struggle and suffer and not be able to do ANYTHING! I'm sure most have experienced similar feelings, but it is frustrating. She had croup, and her little throat was almost swollen shut. So no serious danger, it was manageable, but still scary. I am extremely grateful for modern medicine.

We have had lots of fog by our house, and it leaves beauty behind it. These are pics of our trees. So cool!

Happy Thanksgiving and the Countdown Begins!!

Happy Thanksgiving! I don't have any pictures... some how my camera managed to stay forgotten in the corner. We spent the glorious day at my parents. This was the first year we did dinner just with my family and not the extended family. It was a lot of fun and delicious!!! Our night ended pretty early because we had to take Mylee Jo to the emergency room, (only because all the urgent cares were closed on Thanksgiving) she had a fever about 104. After Thanksgiving we spent the weekend up in Bear Lake at the Bingham's house. It was nice to just relax.

And now the countdown to Christmas begins...

When it comes to blogging, I am a picture person. Maybe the November air is getting to me, but I keep thinking about my kids and how amazing they are! I love watching as their personalities are shining out more and more. Here are a few cute things about my two sweeties.

Canon- So far today, no potty accidents! I'm keeping my fingers crossed this lasts all day! (Potty training is no fun.)

He was scribbling on a piece of paper and then told me it was a boat in the 'wa-wa.'

Canon has ALWAYS had the cutest laugh! It is contagious.

The other day when I was gettting him out of his car seat he looked at me and said, "Hola. Hola, Mama." It was totally random, and the way he said it was hilarious! I don't know where he picked that up, but he frequently says it now.

When Mylee is crawling, he crawls next to her and makes her laugh.

He calls Mylee 'the baby' and talks to her in a really high pitched voice.

Canon is eager to learn. He know his alphabet, numbers to 10, colors, and his shapes (most of the time).

Every time an airplane flies over our house, he gets so excited and yells, "AIRPLANE! AIRPLANE!!" This tends to happen a lot since we live so close to HAFB. He does the same thing for helicopters, and yes, he can tell the difference-even by their sound. (He's about 90% correct.)

Mylee- She is my happy child. Her smile warms you to the very core, and she shares it with everyone. Seriously, almost every time I go shopping, people are always stopping to talk to her (especially at Costco).

She LOVES to eat! Unlike Canon who is sooo picky, she eats everything and then tries to steal food from other people. She especially loves those little baby puffs. She eats them by the handful.

Recently I noticed she loves stuffed animals. She snuggles them.

She is sooo close to walking. She is only 9 months, that's too early!! When she crawls, she usually has a sock hanging out of her mouth.

Mylee has a very determined and persistent personality. She doesn't get discouraged, and if you interrupt her plans, she lets you know!

She give hugs and then pats you on the back.

The hair just above her ears grows faster than the rest of her hair. So she has these two strands that are already to her shoulders while the rest of her hair is still short. We call them her ear flaps.

Her eyes are a pure blue color- adorable with her brown hair. (I don't know how I got two kids with blue eyes! Lucky!)

Fall Activities

First, I have some sad news. On Friday our dog, Ginny died. We don't know what happened... I heard her barking and yelping in the backyard. When I went to check on her she was dead. I am such a dog person, and I feel like part of my family is missing now. I am sad that Canon won't get to play with her anymore. They spent almost the whole summer in the backyard digging in my rosebushes. She was such a sweet dog, and we miss her so much!

We went to the HAFB museum with my parents. It was so fun and free!! (The best kind of activites!) Canon gets so excited every time he sees an airplane, so you can imagine his reaction to the museum which is full of airplanes. Every time he saw an airplane, and I mean every time, he yelled, "Airpane, airpane. Mama..... AIRPANE!" It was cute, and I'm glad he had so much fun!

Balloon Stampede, Labor Day, and Chocolate...

Antelope Island has a balloon stampede every Sept, so last Sat we headed out there with my parents (minus Brandon). So it turned out to be really lame. We eventually got them up though. This one came down right after I took the picture. Sadness. Then, the wind wasn't strong enough to do the kite portion. We eventually did get our kites in the air after a while.

I remembered why no one goes out to Antelope Island too. It was barren and the bugs were swarming. On the bright side, we did go for a little bike ride with the kids, had a yummy breakfast, and Canon loves Papa and Gigi so it doesn't matter where we are-as long their together. :) Honestly, I really did have a fun day with my parents!

Mylee had her first taste of chocolate, and LOVED it..... Canon left a bowl of cookies on the floor and of course Mylee found it. She was pretty happy about it, but I was not.

On Labor Day we went boating. It was fun, and yes super crowded. This is Canon after he got sun screen. I love his long hair!

Can you believe this little boy is 2? I can't! His b-day was actually on the 18th, but we had a party on the 22nd. Thanks to EVERYONE who came!

August Activities

Once we got back from Oregon, we started feeding Mylee cereal. She slowly eats it. She thinks it is funny and laughs the whole time.

Last week I went boating with my parents at Jordenelle. It was Mylee's first time on a boat, and she did pretty well. She HATED the life jacket though.

Yesterday we went up to Bear Lake to see Laurie and Colby. We made yummy fresh bear lake raspberry jam. I can't wait to gobble it all up!

We spent a little time down at the beach. The shallow water felt perfect! My kids loved it too...

My Happy Place: The Oregon Coast

This is the Bonneville Dam on the Columbia River. We stopped here on our drive to the coast- what a long drive! Luckily we had some books to read. We read the Fabelhaven series during the long drives. They are pretty good books!

One of my FAVORITE pictures of Brandon and Canon. This is at Cape Kiwanda.

Devils Churn- fascinating but a lot scarier with the kids. The waves crash against the rocks so if you fall in- your dead.

One of my favorite activities- tidepools at Neptune Beach! I couldn't believe how many sea stars there were!

The picture is too small to see all the detail, but there is a hermit crab and fish swimming around in this tidepool.

This is at the aquarium in Newport. Doesn't it look like the fish are staring at Canon? They had a bunch of underwater tunnels that were really cool to walk through.

Canon's favorite actvity- rolling in the sand and occasionally sampling it.

Isn't Mylee sooo adorable!? This is on the bay right by the house we stayed in at Lincoln City.

Brandon became the master kite flyer. I learned a few tricks as well, but I kept crashing the kite into people. Oops!

Muson Falls outside Tillamook. Part of the water flows through this log- pretty sweet.

I think this pictures sums it up. I love the Oregon Coast. Brandon and I decided we are going to move there someday....

4th of July in St. George

We spent the weekend in St. George, and holy cow it was soo hot!! It was a lot of fun though! The Prax family blessed their sweet little baby girl, Katelynn.

We did a little hiking which isn't the best activity to do in St. George- especially when it is over 100 degrees! Luckily this little hike was in the shade so we stayed pretty cool.

Best Weekend!

This weekend was soo much fun! It started off with a race on Saturday. Brandon and I ran in the Race for the Cure in Salt Lake. It is becoming a tradition for us. I think Brandon's favorite part is the funny t-shirts people wear. Here are some of the ones that I remember: (Remember race for the cure is about breast cancer)

May 11th is our anniversary. We have been married for 3 years, and it has been wonderful! I love Brandon so much, and I am very blessed to have him in my life!

To celebrate our anniversary, we went to the zoo with the kids. It was fun, we haven't been there for a really long time. Canon was very entertained by the animals. He was mesmerized with the big black elephant in the pic above. It kept making noises, and Canon would just freeze and stare.

One last note, Brandon's sister Jamie had her baby! I will post pictures when I get some!

The Story Continues

Canon and I built a fort in our front room. It was sweet! Canon even had his own secert entrance from behind the couch. For those of you who can't tell from the pictures, yes- we have moved back into our house. The buyers are still waiting to get approved for the loan- which may not happen until the end of May if it hapens at all. Since our house is now fixed, we decided to move back in. Sigh.

Canon likes to flip the baby bouncer over and then sit it in like this. He pretends it is a car and goes driving. It is so funny! Kids just make me laugh with the crazy stuff they do!

So this is a late Easter post, it has been a very busy week for us! We are still waiting for the buyers to get approved for their loan, so since our house is fixed now, we moved back in!

The most exciting news is my sister had her baby! They named him Easton Paul, and boy is he cute!

Easter was a lot of fun! Canon didn't get the Easter egg hung thing exactly, but he still got a few eggs. It was a blast to spend the weekend with the Prax family too! Here are some pics of our Easter adventures.

Mylee's blessing was amazing! Thanks to everyone who helped! She was adorable, as always. Sorry these aren't the best pictures- these were the only ones that I took, but I will be getting some more later. She wore the dress that I was blessed in, and she was just so sweet!

Mylee is such a wonderful baby! I am spoiled. She is already sleeping through the night- sometimes. Other nights she only gets up once. Mylee Jo smiles a lot and loves to be sung to, and she is super ticklish. I just want to gobble her up! Anyways, when I get the other pictures, I will post those as well.

On a side note, if anyone knows of any stay at home jobs, please let me know! I am looking for a little something I can do. Thanks!

To start from the beginning... This is where the driver first lost control. Notice the mailbox way up in the tree? This is about 5 houses down the road from us.

So the damage turned out to be not so bad. Obviously the front door and surrounding area will have to be replaced, as well as the pillars on the front porch. There is some damage to the walls inside as well, but the overall structure was not harmed... thankfully. The buyers of our house still want to buy the house which is a miracle to me! The repairs are coming along, which is wonderful. Overall, this turned out to be not has horrible as it could have been. We were very blessed.

CRAZY Week!

Where to begin? I usually don't post without pictures, but this has been a crazy week. I'm not sure how many of you knew this, but Brandon started MBA school this year. So in an effort to save money and not get into debt, we decided to sell our house. Just after Mylee was born, we got a decent offer. Everything was looking really good, so we moved in with Brandon's parents this past week since Brandon had the time of off work. So that was crazy just in itself, moving with a week old baby. Lucky for me, Brandon is a very hard and dedicated worker, and we pretty much got everything done by Friday- thanks to lots of help from family. :) Well, this morning we got a phone call because some idiot crashed into our house! Yes, that's right, after losing control of the car and taking out several of our neighbors mailboxes, this individual cut through our neighbors front yard, through the fence, and ended up on our front porch. But wait, it gets better. The people in the car decided that they could just hide the evidence. So they picked up the broken pieces of their car (and threw some of it in our trash can), took the pillars from our front porch that they knocked out and through them behind our trash can, and then pushed their car next door into the credit union parking lot, called a tow truck, and fled on foot. Lucky for us, there were footprints in the fresh snow and a little trail of blood so we could see exactly what they 'tried' to do. Some nice person driving by saw what was going on and called the police, and the police were able to capture these not so smart people. Anyways, I will update more about this later....

Now that we are nice and settled at home, here are some more pictures! Mylee Jo is so beautiful, and we are sooo happy she is here! Canon adores her; it is soo sweet. He likes to give her kisses and hugs. We are helping him learn how to be gentle with her. He likes to poke her eyes and pat her head just a little too hard. :) Mylee Jo is going to have to get used to having such a loving brother.

Mylee Jo loves to be held, cuddled, and pampered. She especially loves it when Brandon tickles her face. It is fun to see her little personality, and we are so blessed to have such a sweetheart in our family.

Since I'm due in about seven weeks, I've been thinking a lot about labor and delivery. I thought it would be fun to post about my delivery with Canon. I saw this awhile ago and thought it was cute.

1. Where were you when you first found out you were pregnant? I guess in my apartment in Provo, but I didn't believe I was pregnant so I took about four different pregnancy tests (they were all positive) and then went to the doctor and took one. At the doctor was when I finally believed it was real.

2. Who was with you? Brandon was with each test. (He was so excited, and I was freaking out!)

3. What was your first reaction? I didn't believe it was real, and then once I believed it- I was overwhelmed and scared to death.

4. What was your husband's reaction? Brandon was sooo happy which was good since I was in shock.

5. Who was the first person you told? We told our parents first.

6. Was the pregnancy planned? Yes, but I didn't think it would happen so fast.

7. Was everyone happy for you? Yes!

8. What was the sex? Boy. I thought it was a boy the whole time, and I wanted a boy too. :)

9. Did anyone throw a shower for you? Yes, and showers are so helpful! My family and friends did.

10. Did you get any outfits you wouldn't use? No, but he did grow out of stuff so fast!

11. How much weight did you gain? 25 pounds

12. Did you get stretch marks? ...Um, yes. :(

13. Did you crave anything crazy? I don't remember craving anything, but I love ice cream.

14. Who or what got on your nerves the most? Hmmm... I really can't think of anything. I did think it was funny how many people came up to me and told me fool proof ways to make myself go into labor. Some of them were so crazy!

15. Where were you when you went into labor? Well, I started having contractions while I was at home, but they were painless but regular. So I went and took a final, and then Brandon and I went to the hospital to see if they would keep me.

16. Did you have any complications? No, everything went perfectly. I was very blessed.

17. Did your water break? They broke it for me.

18. Who drove you to the hospital? Brandon

19. Did you go early or late? Pretty much right on time. Canon was one day early.

20. Who was in the room? Brandon, the doctor, and the nurses.

21. Did you videotape it? We have some video after he came out.

22. Did you have any pain medication? Yes Yes Yes

23. Did you have a c-section or natural? Natural, c-sections scare me.

24. What was your reaction to the birth? It seemed like it happened so fast. It seemed unreal, but I was so excited and happy and relieved!

25. How big was the baby? 8 lbs. 6 oz and 21 inches

26. Did your husband cry? I didn't see him cry, but I know he was emotional.

27. When is the next one coming? The beginning of Feb., and I am ready!

28. If you could do it all over again, would you? Yes, Canon brings me so much joy. It is all worth it.

Caramel Apples

Thanksgiving Weekend!

Brandon and I had a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving with Brandon's family in Cokeville.

We had lots of fun with the Prax family this weekend. I tried to get some good pictures of the cousins playing, but they were all blurry because none of them hold still!! I did get this adorable one of Aden. He has such bright blue eyes!!

On Friday we went bowling, and I am terrible at bowling (little Emma scored higher then me! Yikes!) It was fun to be with the family though.

On Sunday we got together at Brandon's parent's house. Canon was soo handsome in his little church outfit!

Since Halloween there hasn't been too much to post about, so I thought I would do a tag. I don't usually do these, but I thought this one was sweet. This is probably more fun for me then for anyone who reads this, but here we go.

1. Where did you meet? We met at BYU. We were in the same ward my very first semester there. So I was a little freshman, and he had been there a couple years already.

2. What was the first thought that went through your head when you met? The first time we actually talked was when he came over to my apartment. He liked to go 'girlin' with his roommies, and they stopped by my place. I was getting ready to go on a date, and he was teasing me about dating a freshman boy who didn't have a car. I was surprised that he was paying attention to me because I wasn't used to older guys giving me attention. At that time, I was sort of dating some one else and didn't pay much attention to Brandon. Which oddly enough was one of the reasons that Brandon was attracted to me- he liked the idea that since I was dating another person, I wasn't flirting with other guys- he just wished he was the guy! :)

3. Do you remember what he was wearing? He was wearing a plaid shirt with jeans and this necklace he always used to wear. I did think he was very cute.

4. Where was the first time you kissed this person? Brandon took me on a motorcycle ride up Provo Canyon and then up South Fork Canyon (I think that is what it is called). We stopped at this park, and we were walking up a trail that followed a little river. We were walking over a little bridge, and he very sweetly kissed me. In my mind, it was the perfect first kiss.

5. Where did you go for your first date? We went shotgun shooting in Mapleton, ate lunch at BrandX Burgers, and then went to his apartment and played darts and ate otter pops.

6. When were you officially a couple? I would say when we first kissed, which was a week after we started dating.

7. How did he ask you out? I used to work in the office of the apartment complex we lived in. Part of my job was to call references on all of the applicants. One of the applicants put Brandon down as a reference because Brandon was his boss. So I called Brandon to ask him a few questions about this individual, and Brandon said, "Do you know who this is?" I told him yes, and then he asked me out.

8. Has this person ever proposed to you? When Brandon proposed, we already knew we were going to get married so I was expecting it, but not so soon. I knew something was going on that night because my roommie told me to clean my room. Brandon re-created our first date, but he didn't tell me what we were doing. So we went shotgun shooting in Mapleton, and I accidently hit Brandon with a clay target. Anyways, I started crying because I felt so bad and so stupid. After the crying episode, we got burgers and went to his friend's apartment (I didn't know who's apartment it was though). We walked inside and there was rose petals and candles. We ate our hamburgers by candle light, and then we played darts. The ring was in the center of the dart board- it took me a little while before I realized it was there. Once I did, Brandon got the ring and proposed. I was ecstatic with joy!! Then we went back to my apartment and there was a trail of rose petals, candles, and candy into my bedroom. On my bed was a lot of roses. It was very sweet. :)

9. Do you have kids together? Cute Canon and a turkey in the oven.

10. Have you ever broken the law with this person? I can't think of a time.

11. When was the first time you realized that you liked him? Brandon and I knew each other for over a year before we started dating exclusive. I came home for conference weekend in October, and I needed a ride back to Provo. Brandon offered to drive me back, so he came and picked me up. On the car ride home, I realized Brandon was an amazing individual who was very sincere, and I was impressed with his motivation for his career and pretty much everything about him. I don't know what was so different about this time that I was with him, but something clicked. We have been together every day since.

12. Do you get along with his family? Yes, I really like spending time with his family.

13. Do you trust this person? Absolutely. I have complete confidence and trust in Brandon.

14. Do you see him as your partner in your future? I don't see a future without Brandon. We really are perfect for eachother in every way. We will always be together.

15. What is the best gift he gave you? I know this is kind of cheesy but himself, Canon, and my little girl. Nothing else is as important to me.

16. What is one thing he does that gets on your nerves? Hmmm..... I know it's lame, but there really isn't anything. If he knows it bugs me, he stops doing it. For example, I hate soggy footprints on the floor after you shower. So he always dries his feet now before he steps out of the shower. He is very sweet that way.

17. Where do you see each other fifteen years from now? I don't really know. Together with our twelve children... somewhere. Just kidding, I don't really want twelve kids.

18. What causes the most arguments? Brandon and I don't really argue. We disagree sometimes, but nothing serious. I know I get really grumpy during the night if he wakes me up, sorry about that Brandon.

19. How long have you been together? Officially together, just over three years.

20. Are you married? Yes, for two and a half years.

Hopefully this wasn't too cheesy or mushy, but I really do adore Brandon in every way. He is my greatest blessing, and I love him so much.

A Fun Surprise in our Tree

Sunday morning when we were rushing off to church, Brandon saw this owl sitting in our tree! It was a pretty big owl, and he sat there all day long. It was sooo cool! It was a little creepy too because he would sit there and follow us with his beady little eyes. I hope he comes to visit again.

Halloween!!

I love Halloween! I had so much fun dressing Canon up all day! He was adorable, but he wouldn't sit still! I didn't really get any cute pictures of him. Every time he saw the camera he wanted to play with it. Then he would get mad when I wouldn't let him, so that's why there are a lot of grumpy pictures. We still had so much fun together!

This is a little Halloween treat I made; sorry it's a dark pic. I carved oranges and filled them with fruit salad. It was a fun and yummy treat!

This was after Brandon got home from work. Canon was putting on his shoes... anxious to get to grandma's I guess! It was really funny!

Of course Canon got some candy from Grandma Thornock's house. It was hard to keep him out of the basket!

Grand America Hotel

Last weekend Brandon and I got to stay in the Grand America Hotel- thanks to Wells Fargo. Holy Crow, it was soo nice! It was an amazing weekend with lots of relaxing and good eating. The only pictures I took were at Clark Planetarium. Brandon had never been there so we stopped by. It was very educational for both of us. Mostly we just enjoyed being with each other. Canon stayed with my parents so it was the first time we were away from him for so long. We missed him tons and were eager to get him back. And lets be honest, I don't think he really missed us at all. He cried when I went to pick him up, and I had to drag him out of the nursery at my parents ward. He is such a stinker, but we love him.

St. George with the Prax family

Last week we visited the Prax family in St. George. It was sooo much fun!! Canon especially enjoyed playing with his cousins. He adores Emma. She can make him laugh hysterically -the only one who can. It is so cute!

We spent a few hours at Zion's. It was beautiful! The weather was perfect. It is so nice to get away sometimes. Here are a few pics that we took.

Black Island Farms

Last Thursday we went to the Black Island Farms with the Prax family and Grandma and Grandpa T. It was a lot of fun, and I took a lot of pictures! They have all sorts of fun activities, especially for little kids, and a corn maze and haunted forest for bigger kids.

This is one of the slides they had- Grandpa is going down while Brandon and Canon are at the top.

We all loaded into the Cow Train for a little ride through the corn fields.

Brandon won a pig nose because his pig won in the pig race.

They also had this sand box that was filled with corn kernals. The kids loved it!

Our Relaxing Break at Bear Lake

This week we went to Bear Lake for a nice relaxing vacation. We stayed on the property that Laurie and Colby are living on right now. It was wonderful!! We had such a great time- even though it was soooo cold! Anyways, there was a sweet playground, and Canon loved the slide! Well, he loved everything- running around, eating rocks, playing in the sand, eating the sand...

The little house we stayed in was right on the beach. It was fun to just relax for a while.

First Haircut and More...

Canon and I were in the backyard playing yesterday. I picked an apple off of our apple tree and gave it to him. He sat down and went to town on that apple. Yummy! He loved it a lot and pretty much ate the whole thing- He did manage to share a couple bits with me. Thanks bud!

On Sunday we walked around the Nature Park in Syracuse. They have a few ponds and some nice trails. Canon kept waving and saying "Hi," to all of the people. It was cute! It was a beautiful day, and I loved spending time with Brandon and Canon.

Canon got his first haircut this week. Unfortunately, this is the best picture I could get of him. I couldn't get him to hold still! He looks extra chubby now! (Notice our sweet new carpet in the background? I love it!!)

Last Couple of Weeks...

These past few weeks have been fun! First, we had dinner with the Gines family. They introduced us to the Human Rubberband. It was a lot of fun! I got to see Kelli, and I never get to see her anymore (Anyways, I was really happy to see her and everyone else!)

Last night my family celebrated my Mom's birthday and Michelle's birthday. It was fun to have everyone together! Happy Birthday! I was going to take some pictures, but of course I forgot my camera.

Labor Day and the Davis County Gala

On Labor Day we did some putting at the golf course with Brandon's family. We had a lot of fun- Canon got a little grumpy toward the end though. He was trying so hard to get all the balls, but we wouldn't let him! I got some really cute pics of Canon- despite the bad attitude. :) This is Canon dropping his ball into the hole. He was sooo funny!

On Sept. 4, Brandon and I went to the Davis County Gala. It is a fundraiser for the Davis County Homeless Shelter. (We got tickets from Brandon's work!) It was soo much fun to dress up and spend a nice evening with just Brandon and me. Collin Raye performed, the food was really good, and it was a blast! (Brandon looked soooo good in his tux!)

This is the basket we bought/won in the silent auction. It is full of cute baby girl items! Even though it is for Mylee, Canon has already claimed most of the items.

Canon loves to give kisses now, especially to himself! Fall is my favorite time of year, and I am sooo excited for Fall to come! I know I still have a while until Fall is here for real, but I can't wait!

Canon's bday was soo much fun!! Thank you to all those who came. He got lots of cute clothes and fun toys!! He was very excited about all of the toys! (I'm very excited about all of the clothes!)

He wasn't sure what to do with all the ribbons and wrapping paper. Good thing Dad was there to help!

He couldn't wait to get his hands into the cake!

He really got into it! Canon successfully smeared the cake and cool whip all over. He had a blast!!

We had another bday surprise- well not for Canon but for everyone else- Brandon and I are expecting baby number 2 in Feb! We are having a little girl and we are naming her Mylee Jo. We are super excited!

Brandon's family had a fun camping trip over the weekend. We weren't able to go the whole time, in fact we only made it for a few hours during Brandon's lunch break. Anyways, it was still lots of fun, and we got to spend time with the Prax family and Courtney. (Doesn't he have the cutest pot belly!?)

Brandon is getting really good on the wakeboard. These pictures don't do him justice. I wasn't able to wakeboard, but that will be explained later.

Lava Hot Springs!

I know this is a little bit late, but over the 24th of July, my family went to Lava Hot Springs! Besides getting a HUGE rock chip in our windshield, which we had to replace, it was a blast!

Canon loved swimming, and Brandon and I loved running the river. It was awesome to have a little break and do something fun! Somehow we managed to keep Canon from getting a sunburn, whew!

Well, I was tagged by Jamie, so here it goes!!

1) One of my favorite things to cook is soup because there are so many different things you can do! I love to be creative and try different seasonings; luckily Brandon is a good sport with my crazy cooking sometimes.

2) I love love LOVE to travel. Every once in a while I get a travel bug and Brandon has to put up with my travel plans. Luckily we are going back east in May so that should do me for a while. Some of my favorite places I have been are Oregon, Washington, France, Norway, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Washington D.C., and Hava Supi. Some places I would love to go are Spain, England, Australia, New Zealand, and Hawaii.

3) I hate it when single drops of water run down the inside of my arm, like when I am cleaning or brushing my teeth. I don't know why, but it drives me nuts!

4) I am starting to get into gardening. I am so excited to be able to plant my own garden and flowers this year. Hopefully it will be a success!

5) I love to read and am always searching for a good book, so if anyone has any suggestions please let me know!! The only problem with me reading is when I get into a good book I tend to do nothing else except for read until I am done!

6) I love to run. Some day I hope to be able to run in a marathon, but we will see. While running is a great workout, it also helps to clear my mind and is some how relaxing.

Sorry for the lack of updates! Brandon and I don't have internet anymore. Canon is growing so much! This is his 'Super Baby' pose, it is so funny! He spreads out his arms and kicks his little legs!

Canon is eating rice cereal now and doing pretty well. He pulls faces but eventually swallows it down.

This Christmas we went with Brandon's family to visit his grandparents in Wyoming. We all rode up in Michael and Jamie's suburban. It was fun! Canon loves his cousins, and Emma had him laughing so hard. It was fun!!

Brandon and I started reading The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis. We just finished THE MAGICIAN'S NEPHEW. There are so many fun quotes in these books that I decided to add my favorites to the blog so I can remember them. The following quotes are all from THE MAGICIAN'S NEPHEW.
